As I had written in an older post, I hurt my right knee pretty badly a few years back. I decided against surgery back then, which I am still convinced was the right decision. But, together with the lack of almost any sports during the last 3 years, this has led to a situation in which I do not really trust my knee’s ability to hold under full load. Something you can’t have when moving on the deck of a boat in bad weather and/or the dark of night. And, of course, all my tendons are shortened etc. So, instead of pumping iron and getting “ripped”, I am doing a lot of stretching in this torture chamber you see in the picture on the left. Plus some other exercises I learned from coach Florian to restore my confidence in my knee.
