
Ok, this will probably not appear as any kind of achievement to most of you, but after years of of neglect this mortal coil needs time to get where it needs to be for the race. So, while the pace (6:38) and the resulting time (32 min) certainly isn’t anything one would write home about, it was a significant step for me. I had worked my way through one of those “Couch to 5k” over a couple of months and then started running with my wife, who is currently training for her first marathon and yes, her 10K pace is still a lot better than my 5K one. But hey: slowly, slowly catch monkey … next milestone: 10K
